wow, that's a tuffy, i'd say that humans are humans and we all have the same but then what you are going by is the classification of disorders by those who label them, the phycoanalists and we all love labels, so the hyperactive child in the jungle may not have a disorder as they would here in the USA, dig?
or the person smoking the opium in the far east may not have the same disorder that causes them to smoke it or desire it as they would here. as it is not what is considered proper or legal

Mental illness occurs in all populations worldwide. The US may have more depression and social anxiety disorders, but that's just a guess (we probably have more psychiatrists).
